GARMENT TECHNICIAN
We are seeking an enthusiastic Designer & Patternmaker with excellent garment-development skills to lead our textiles design team. As a hands-on business, the role also includes close involvement with different production personnel and our sales order team to support timely development of our Style Sheets (tech packs) and requires excellent analytical skills to assist with productivity reporting functions to the Production Supervisor.
Essential criteria:
Workplace experience in pattern development and modifications (including grading)
Demonstrated experience with StyleCAD
Demonstrated experience with Adobe Illustrator
A passion for textiles design and an interest in the manufacturing sector
Aptitude in Office365, particularly MS Excel and Outlook
Professional manner and excellent communication skills
Meticulous eye for detail
The successful applicant must be able to provide references and a portfolio
Desirable criteria:
Diploma in Applied Fashion Design & Technology
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
Aptitude with Adobe Photoshop and inDesign
Willingness to learn other software applications and assist with production reporting
Positive approach to training, feedback and change
MACHINISTS
Positions may be available for piecework, embroidery, and alterations.
Requirements:
- Confidence using sewing machines
- English competence
- Availability for early starts
Demonstrated experience in an industrial sewing environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
