MACHINISTS
Join one of Australia’s leading custom-made flight suit manufacturers, and become part of the local industry! Located in Maryland, Newcastle, we are open to application as varying roles emerge. Positions may be available for piecework, embroidery, and alterations.
Requirements:
- Confidence using sewing machines
- English competence
- Availability for early starts
Demonstrated experience in an industrial sewing environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

CUTTING ROOM ASSISTANT
About the role
-
Cutting, fusing, bundling of garment components for upline assembly on the factory floor.

Utilising StyleCAD Marker Making, Pathfinder cutting machine, Plotter machine.

Use of in-house software to track and update Made to Measure sizing.

Must be available for early starts and established shifts.

Shift times: 6:30am-3pm (Mon-Thurs), 6.30am-12.30pm (Fridays)

Immediate start for the right candidate.

This
Permanent Full-Time position is covered under the Textiles, Clothing,
Footwear, & Associated Industries Award, and our company is
accredited with Ethical Clothing Australia.
Skills and experience required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential

Accuracy with data entry, as well as numeracy proficiency

Training is provided however demonstrated experienced in the textiles industry will be favourably viewed.

Ability to follow instructions and use tools.

Be proactive in our safe operating environment.

Ability to be part of a team while working with minimal supervision
