MACHINISTS

Join one of Australia’s leading custom-made flight suit manufacturers, and become part of the local industry! Located in Maryland, Newcastle, we are open to application as varying roles emerge. Positions may be available for piecework, embroidery, and alterations. 

Requirements:

  • Confidence using sewing machines
  • English competence
  • Availability for early starts

Demonstrated experience in an industrial sewing environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

                        ADMIN TEAM ASSISTANT

As a hands-on business, this role includes front end involvement with the sales order team providing customer service, data entry, daily dispatch, and other day to day tasks to support job tracking. If you also possess entry-level graphic content design skills to support our team with website maintenance, product image editing, and marketing material, this will be favourably viewed.

Essential criteria: 

  • Demonstrated experience in Office365, including MS Excel and Outlook 
  • Professional manner and demonstrated experience in customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy with data entry, as well as numeracy proficiency
  • Willingness to learn other software applications
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Intention to stay long-term and grow within the company
  • The successful applicant will be able to provide references

Desirable criteria: 

  • Experience with software such as MYOB, WordPress, or WooCommerce
  • Experience with software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision 
  • Positive approach to training, feedback and change
  • An interest in the textiles design and manufacturing sector
